The growing requirements for operators of sewer cleaning vehicles demand pumps which are high performance, can be operated with recycling water and at the same time have a low weight. The less room the pump takes up in the rinsing vehicle and the less of the maximum permissible payload of the vehicle it takes up, the greater the free payload and therefore the longer the sewer rinsing vehicle can be operated for in the cleaning process in one go without having to empty the vehicle.
That was the starting point for the pump specialist URACA in the new development of the four plunger pump P4-45. A pump with a compact structure with a low weight and a very attractive price-performance ratio developed on the basis of the P3-45 three plunger pump. The P4-45 four plunger pump is used in cleaning vehicles for cleaning large ducts, pipelines, shafts and fountains in order to deal with deposits, encrustations, biofilms and organic growth reliably.
The P4-45 has an output of 175 kW with a weight of only 420 kg and it is designed for large scale cleaning and special applications. The pump generates a maximum volume flow of more than 630 litres of water per minute at a pressure of 150 bar. Like the P3-45 the P4-45 has particularly robust mushroom valves with elastomer gasket and integrated cross head seals. The stuffing boxes can be changed individually - without releasing the suction and pressure line. Spring tensioned sealing sleeves create a defined and thus fault free pre-tension for long and optimum maintenance intervals. The optional pump-fed lubrication also allows operation in tilted positions - this means that the sewer rinsing pump can also be used in mountainous country.
All parts which come into contact with liquid are designed in such a way that the pump is also suitable for operation with recycling water. In addition the wearing parts are reasonably priced and identical to those of the P3-45. This means that many parts can be used on both pumps. This gives the user considerable benefits in terms of costs, maintenance, storage and service.
In this way the manufacturer from Bad Urach continues to extend his position at the peak of the European market for sewer rinsing vehicles and makes his range of services from 30 to 270 kW pump output complete.
