Manager magazine, in collaboration with management consultant, Professor Bernd Venohr, used annual turnovers as a basis for its evaluation of 1,000 of the most significant global market leaders with German roots.
All companies belonging to the world's top three providers in their market sector were included. This shows that German companies achieve leading positions with classic industrial products such as machinery, large-scale plants and vehicles. A good 90% of the companies that received the award work in production. Geographically, Baden-Württemberg took top place in the ranking of German federal states, followed by North Rhine Westphalia and Bavaria.
The Neckar-Alb region alone saw 25 companies receive awards, including pump manufacturer URACA. "Our intensive international focus and consistent response to the needs of our customers have once again created an elevated level of demand, even after the economic crisis," explains URACA Managing Director, Gunter Stöhr. This is now also reflected in another positive result (806th place).
