At the ground-breaking ceremony on 25 September 2008 URACA fired the gun for the building of a new production hall. By autumn 2009 approx. 4.8 million euros will have been invested in the Bad Urach location. The construction of the production hall is primarily for the accommodation of new machining centres, meaning an expansion in production. Thus the family company from Bad Urach is creating ideal conditions for the manufacture of high-pressure plunger pumps and at the same time extending its manufacturing depth.

A continuous growth in revenue has had a great impact on URACA over the past few years. In view of these developments and of the high quality demands on URACA products the decision for a new building was made. Another major factor is that the company will be able to advance technologically and increase production. For 850 square metres of additional production area and a further 320 square metres of storage space approx. 2.4 million euros is being invested. Construction is due to finish mid-February, 2009, which will be followed by the moving and installation of the present machinery. A further 2.4 million euros will be invested in new machinery and machining centres by mid-October, 2009.

Axel Leiss, Deputy Mayor of Bad Urach, praised the investment of a forward-looking production in the location and called the day "a good day for the town". District Administrator Thomas Reumann summed up the construction project in the words "Success needs space. More success needs more space". With a business investment of nearly 5 million euros the company is safeguarding jobs for the district and demonstrating responsibility for society as a whole.

The completion of the production hall will help to ensure that the company will continue to be internationally competitive. After all, more than 60% of revenue goes to customers abroad. Together with the high degree of qualifications and loyalty of the employees, in-house production of all important and high-quality components contributes to maintaining consistently high quality as well as delivery reliability.
